MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) -
All lanes of traffic on I-85 are open this morning after a tractor trailer started leaking a hazardous chemical near the Tuskegee exit late Monday night.
Traffic was re-routed in both northbound and southbound lanes throughout the night and into the early morning.
The substance was believed to be silicone tetra fluoride. The spill has now been cleared.
I-65 has also been re-opened this morning after a vehicle fire caused one north bound and one south bound lane to be blocked overnight near the Hyundai Blvd. exit.
A small U-Haul truck carrying approximately 100 gallons of paint and adhesive caught fire. The fire was contained to the cab of the truck and did not damage the cargo in the rear of the truck.
