Tuscaloosa Police Department Juvenile Investigators say a school employee has been arrested after being suspected of having sexual contact with a student.
28-year-old Curtis Nathaniel Hodges turned himself in on Monday at the Tuscaloosa Police Department front desk. Police say Hodges was seen on video going into a girl's bathroom behind a 15-year-old student on September 7th around 1:15 p.m. at Central High School. Another janitor at the school was seen on surveillance locking the door to the bathroom. Later, a janitor came and unlocked the door and Hodges and the 15-year-old came out.
Hodges is facing a charge of 2nd degree sexual abuse and a charge of school employee having sexual contact with a student under the age of 19. He is being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $12,000 bond.
The other janitors have not have not been identified.
