An 80-year-old woman was charged hundreds of dollars by Comcast for pay-per-view adult movies she says she never ordered. After a year-long dispute, Comcast has now agreed to remove the charges.

Shirley Mascaro says she doesn't order regular movies on Pay-Per-View, not to mention porn flicks. In fact, she says she doesn't even know how.

Mascaro got the first big Comcast bill last February, then another every month for eight months, with XXX adult pay-per-view movies with titles like Ecstasy.

"'Juicy,' 'Xtsy,' 'Real Juicy,' 'Tent,' 'Pant,' 'Xtsy' again, 'Juicy' again," said Mascaro, reading the movie titles listed on the bill.

There were more than a dozen $13.99 movies on every bill, with $500 being the recent high total. Mascaro got a $700.00 bill at one point.

"I've never seen a porn movie in my life. No, I definitely would not be doing that," said Mascaro.

Comcast deleted some charges, but new ones consistently appeared. She complained often and to many at Comcast. Some believed the charges were wrong, but others apparently did not.

"One young man stood in my living room and said to me, 'Everybody says they don't order these moves, but they really do,'" Mascaro recalled.

She says she paid her part and ignored the rest, just like some at Comcast instructed. Eventually though, Comcast disconnected her service. Her daughter complained and got it restored the next day, but with a warning she still owes for the movies. That's when Mascaro called NBC12.

"I'm definitely not going to pay it. I'm sure they're going to turn my service off again, but I'm not going to pay it. I'm going to pay what I owe," said Mascaro.

Comcast corporate told NBC12 in an emailed statement, the issue it was an isolated problem under investigation. It apologized to the customer and credited all disputed charges on her account.

We don't know how it happened, but Mascaro was asked some interesting questions.

"They asked me about my neighbors. 'Maybe your neighbors are stealing your cable?' Maybe they are but I don't know. You need to find out."

Shirley believes it's connected to a new cable box installed when she bought a new TV. Comcast says it was resolved before NBC12 got involved, and will be reflected on her next bill.

Shirley wants a letter just in case it shows up on her credit report.
