TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

Police are looking for a man in a brutal attack in a apartment elevator in Tempe.

Police said the suspect followed a 21-year-old man to the W-6 Townhomes located at 212 W. Sixth St. in the early morning hours of Aug. 11.

Police said the suspect punched the victim about 25 times in the elevator. A few moments later, another man entered the apartment complex and then walked out with the suspect like nothing happened.

Police said the victim had multiple fractures and a 2-inch laceration below the right ear.

The first suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his early 20s. He's 6' tall with a medium build, short brown hair and was last seen wearing a blue T-shirt with an unknown white logo.

The person of interest who met the suspect in the lobby after the crime was an African-American man in his early 20s that's 6' tall, medium build, short brown hair and was wearing a white T-shirt.
