KANSAS CITY, KS (KCTV) -

A 29-year-old man is battling for his life after a disturbance led to gunfire.

At least five children were inside the home in the 4300 block of Waverly Avenue when shots rang out. None of the children, who were infants and toddlers, were injured. Several adults were also inside the home.

The injured man was rushed to the hospital by private vehicle after the shooting at about 2:30 a.m.

KCK police are asking anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.
