COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

Candidates for several local and state races were at CC's Place on St. Mary's Road in Columbus for a candidate forum.

The forum was geared towards informing people who live in South Columbus about the candidates running for different position in this election. Candidates were given time to talk about their intentions and things they want to do and see done if election.

"South Columbus could make or break an election. They are the strongest voters in this community and in the county. They make a huge difference; they get out and vote," Reggie Richards said.

People in South Columbus who came out to CC's tonight also had the opportunity to ask questions and meet and talk with the candidates in person.

"I feel that the general public doesn't really know the candidates that they are voting for so we are giving them that opportunity to come out and meet local candidates," business owner William Pauky said.
