MPD investigating skeletal remains found near E. Blvd. - WSFA.com: News Weather and Sports for Montgomery, AL.

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Montgomery Police have launched a death investigation into a grisly discovery made by trail runners over the weekend.

Authorities say trail runners discovered partial human skeletal remains in a wooded area off of Central Parkway in the vicinity of Woodmere Boulevard and Carmichael Road. MPD says they were notified of the discovery around 7 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities are waiting on forensic results to confirm the identity of the remains. No additional information is available for public release in connection with this investigation.
