Nature's Recipe recalls certain dog biscuits due to possible salmonella contamination

Nature's Recipe brand has recently announced that it is voluntarily recalling a limited supply of Nature's Recipe® Oven Baked Biscuits with Real Chicken. 

This product may have been contaminated with Salmonella, which can affect the animals eating the biscuits as well as posing a risk to humans who handle the contaminated product.

To date, there have been no reports of pet or human illness related to the use of this product.

The potentially affected lots of Nature's Recipe Oven Baked Biscuits with Real Chicken were
distributed nationally, mostly through pet specialty retailers.

The product affected by this recall is Nature's Recipe Oven Baked Biscuits with Real Chicken in the 19 oz pouch. Look for Lot Codes 2199TP and 2200TP.  The UPC Code is 30521 51549 and has the "Best If Used By" date of 10 12 13. 

Only the product and product lots listed above are subject to this recall.

Consumers who have purchased the dog biscuits are advised to stop using this product and dispose of it immediately.
