More Meningitis Death; Third Debate Set for Candidates; Kidnapping Charges Dropped

The numbers are up again in the meningitis outbreak. The Centers for Disease Control now reports 19 people have died. That's up from earlier this week. 245 people have been infected. We'll have the latest on the investigation on Today in Alabama and tell you what is being done in Alabama to identify and contact those who might be affected.

Also on our morning newscast, the new details about Monday's third and final presidential debate before the November election. Plus, kidnapping charges are dropped against a Dothan man accused of abducting his stepdaughter. Court documents show the federal government dropped the kidnapping charges against Charles Partin and will defer prosecution to the state.     A Southern California jury has ordered Johnson & Johnson to pay more than $25 million to a woman who claimed in a lawsuit that she developed cancer by using the company's talc-based baby powder.
