BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

The sky over Birmingham may be a little opaque due to the remainder of a dust storm.

According to the National Weather Service, a high-wind storm that happened across the plains of Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma on Thursday produced a large dust plume that is working its way through the Tennessee Valley.

The dust is said to be adding "opaqueness" to an otherwise clear sky and may cause trouble for those with allergies or sensitivity to air quality. Visibility is not expected to be affected.
