Final Presidential Debate, Montgomery House Fire, Gas Prices Down

Good Monday morning here's what's coming up on Today in Alabama.

It's the final presidential debate tonight.  President Barack Obama and GOP contender Mitt Romney will meet at Lynn University in Boca Raton, Florida.  The 90 minute debate will focus on foreign policy.  You can watch the debate on WSFA 12 News starting at 8.  Right now the latest Wall Street Journal/NBC News Poll has the candidates deadlocked with 47% percent each among likely voters.

A Montgomery family is looking for a new place to live after a fire destroyed their home Sunday night.   It happened on Gibson Court.  When firefighters got to the scene there were flames coming out of the single story home.   Nobody was hurt.  The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Some good news for drivers, gas prices continue to fall.  Its dropped almost 9-cents in the last two weeks.   Right now the national average is $3.75 a gallon for regular unleaded.   In Alabama the average is $3.48.   That's still not as good as it was one year ago when the price was $3.34 a gallon.

We'll see you for all the days news, plus a look at your work and school week forecast coming up at 5 a.m. on Today in Alabama.
