JEFFERSON COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -
The Jefferson County Commission recognized NASCAR great Charles "Red" Farmer's 80th birthday on Tuesday. His birthday was Oct. 15.
Farmer, a Hueytown native, has long worked in NASCAR and worked with Donnie and Bobby Allison. He says he is still active in the racing sport along with hunting.
Commissioner Jimmie Stephens presented Farmer with the resolution commending him on his life work and contributions to the sport and the Jefferson County.
