Rookie pitcher Trevor Bauer pitched a few times for the D-Backs this season. He didn't make many headlines for his time on the mound, but he is getting a whole lot of attention on social media.
Bauer wasn't too happy with President Barack Obama during Monday night's debate.
He tweeted, "Obama looked childish and petty tonight. I'm ashamed that he is commander in chief of this great nation."
He also sent out this message, "A healthy economy starts with a healthy middle class. I personally think Romney's policies guarantee that. As someone who grew up in the middle class and whose parents are unemployed and struggling, it's important to me too."
According to Fox Sports Arizona, D-backs managing partner Ken Kendrick thinks the political tweets are a good thing.
"My reaction is, in a way, it makes me feel good that a young person in sports does care about things that are not just sports," Kendrick said.
