ILWACO, WA (KPTV) -

A semi crashed and tipped over, spilling fish all over a Washington state highway Friday.

The crash took place about 20 miles north of the Columbia River on Highway 101.

The semi was quickly towed away, but the fish guts continued to block the northbound side of the roadway an hour later.

A state trooper responded and snapped photos of the fish-covered road.

"Law enforcement can be quite glamorous," he tweeted.

And as the Washington State Department of Transportation said on its Facebook page, "at least it's raining."

There were no reports of injuries in the wreck.
