MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - Authorities have released the identity of the man killed in Monday night's traffic accident on Day Street.

Police say 55-year-old Rickey Ellison was killed when his 2012 Dodge Caliber crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a 2010 Ford F-150 pickup truck.

Accident investigators are working to determine the cause of the crash. The three occupants of the pickup truck were not injured.

Ellison is now listed as Montgomery's 18th traffic fatality of 2012.
