Federal prosecutors say they have no objection to allowing Country Crossing casino developer Ronnie Gilley an extra two weeks to report to prison.
Gilley is due to report Monday to begin a sentence of six years and eight months, but he is seeking a delay due to complications from surgery.
The Justice Department filed court papers Wednesday that said allowing Gilley to report Nov. 19 would allow him to be treated by his own physician rather than at government expense.
Gilley pleaded guilty to offering bribes to legislators and was originally supposed to report to prison Aug. 27. That got delayed to Sept. 24, then Oct. 9 and then Nov. 5 to allow time for surgery and recovery at Gilley's expense.
The type of surgery has not been disclosed.
