BIRMINGHAM, AL (WBRC) -

An international animal advocacy group is offering a reward in an animal cruelty case.

A group called In Defense of Animals is offering a $2,500 reward leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is allegedly killing cats on the University of Montevallo campus.

University police say that since Oct. 16, three cats have been killed. University Police Chief Chadd Adams said earlier this month that the cats "died of unnatural causes" but wouldn't release additional details.

If you have any information on the case you are urged to call the campus police at 205-665-6155. If you would like to contribute to the IDA's Animal Cruelty Reward Fund, call 415-448-0048 ext 218.
