TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

Several law enforcement agencies contributed to the search for James Calvert and his 4-year-old son, Lucas, Tuesday, according to District Attorney Matt Bingham.

According to police, James Calvert shot his ex-wife Jelena Radovanovic Sriraman in Tyler on Oct. 31, abducted their son Lucas, and fled.

Bingham said that the Smith County District Attorney's office, U.S. Marshals, and the FBI joined in the search for the pair. The DA's office, Tyler police, and the FBI are currently working with the West Monroe Police Department in an effort to secure evidence found in Calvert's car after he was arrested in West Monroe in the early morning hours of November 1.

At around 2 a.m. on Nov. 1, two FBI agents and two Tyler police officers went to West Monroe to see whether any of the guns found in Calvert's Buick LeSabre could be the murder weapon used to kill Sriraman in Tyler.

The DA's office rented a trailer to transport Calvert's vehicle for processing. Authorities are working on securing Calvert's vehicle at this time, wrapping it to ensure no evidence is lost in transport. Police officers are scheduled to escort the trailer back to Tyler for processing Thursday afternoon.

The next step in the case is the extradition process; Calvert will have an opportunity to waive extradition. If he refuses, Bingham says he will seek a Governor's warrant to have him extradited to Tyler.
