COLUMBUS, GA (WTVM) -

What started off as a simple traffic stop ended up with a police officer in the emergency room and three men on the run.

Daniel Parrish, 28, Joshua Turk, 25, and Daniel Bragg, 30, are charged with obstruction; Parrish and Bragg are also charged with aggravated assault of a police officer.

Parrish, who was the driver, pleaded guilty to all charges and waived his right to an attorney. Bragg and Turk pleaded not guilty and are being represented by public defender Charles Lykins.

The assault happened on JR Allen Parkway near Veterans Parkway on Halloween. According to police reports, Parrish was driving a Red Ford F150, Turk and Bragg where passengers.

The group was pulled over by Officer Ray Harralson who called for backup from officer Jason Swails.  Harralson testified, when Swails attempted to arrest Parrish, Turk began to hit Swails with a closed fist while Bragg held him, giving Parrish the chance to speed-off.

While fleeing the scene, Harralson said Officer Swails' was struck in the leg by the car.  Swails was taken to the Medical Center where he was treated and released.

The men were chased at speeds exceeding 110 miles per hour. They were captured a day later in Russell County.

Parrish's bond has been set at more than $30,000.  He also has additional charges including, fleeing the scene, no state license and reckless driving.  Bragg's bond is $20,000 and Turks bond is $10,000.

As of Friday evening, all three had not posted bond and remain in the Muscogee County Jail.  The case has been bound over to superior court.
