CLANTON, AL (WSFA) -
A two-vehicle crash yesterday at 4 p.m. claimed the life of a Verbena man.
Vernon Evans, 80, was killed when the 1995 Chevy pickup he was driving collided with a 2001 Nissan Altima at the intersection of Chilton County 59 and Alabama 22, eight miles south of Clanton.
The other driver, Jasmine Uribe, of Raymondville, Texas, and her children, ages 4 and 2, were injured.
Uribe was taken to UAB by helicopter. Both children were taken to Children's Hospital, one by ambulance and one by helicopter.
No further information is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
