Police say an apparent domestic altercation turned deadly Monday morning. Lee County deputies responded to a possible altercation at a Beulah home around 12:24 a-m and arrived to find 34-year-old Dale Wayne Thompson dead at the scene.
Authorities say evidence there indicated that some sort of incident had taken place. Thompson did not live at the residence and the case is being handled as a homicide. The cause of death has not been released pending an autopsy and police are not releasing any other details because of the on-going investigation.
This is the third homicide in seven days for Lee County. The other two homicides occurred in Opelika.
