Muscogee County voters approve Sunday alcohol sales

The people have spoken, and so far voters in Muscogee County have voted yes to Sunday alcohol sales. Here is a breakdown of the results:  

Yes  58%
No   42%

The final results for this election will not be official until Friday Nov. 9.

Nearly two years ago lawmakers in Georgia passed a bill into law allowing communities to vote in favor or against the sale of alcohol. 

Sales in Muscogee County will start on December 2.
