Auburn has finally snapped their 5-game losing streak after the team's 42-7 win over New Mexico State last weekend. The Tigers now have another challenge as they take on No.5 Georgia.
The Auburn, Georgia rivalry is the the Deep South's Longest running rivalry dating back to 1892. Saturday's game will be the 116th meeting between the two schools where the Bulldogs are looking to tie up the series that the Tigers currently lead 54-53-8.
"It's just incredible," said head coach Gene Chizik. "Regardless of where each team is at it just makes for a great game. It's a game that if you grow up watching college football as a little guy these are the games you dream of playing in."
Auburn comes into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder since being winless in the SEC this season.
"Just like LSU no one that we would come that close (to them)," said sophomore offensive lineman Chad Slade. "We just have to go out there with the same mentality and know that we can play with anybody."
The game kicksoff at 6:00 p.m. CST at Jordan-Hare Stadium.
