PHOENIX (AP) -
An Arizona sheriff's deputy accused of driving to North Dakota and assaulting a man who had an affair with his wife is set to plead guilty to aggravated assault.
Maricopa County Deputy Timothy Abrahamson is charged in Cass County District Court with aggravated assault in the Sept. 16 attack in the victim's driveway. Authorities say the victim suffered a torn right ear, and facial cuts, swelling and bruising.
The Forum newspaper says a hearing has been set for May 6, at which point the 41-year-old Abrahamson will plead guilty.
Cass County prosecutor Tristan Van de Streek tells the newspaper that he could not comment on the guilty plea.
