WAYNESBORO, VA (WWBT) -
A witness spotted a Chevy strike a guardrail on I-64 Sunday afternoon, then keep going, according to Waynesboro Police.
When officers caught up with the driver, they say it was giving off the all-too pungent scent of a skunk. The dead animal was hanging from the back of the vehicle in a plastic bag.
But the rotten rodent couldn't mask another strong smell: alcohol.
Police say 40-year-old Efrain Alvarez's blood alcohol content was .15. He's now charged with DUI.
