Clash of the Champions

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Deerfield-Windsor faces a tough first round game in the GISA playoffs when they host Tattnall Square Friday night.

This is a matchup of the last two AAA state champions.

In fact, Deerfield-Windsor and Tattnall Square have won a combined five state titles in the last six seasons.

Deerfield-Windsor won a close game in Macon against Tattnall against in the regular season.

It was one of five straight losses the defending state champion Trojans had to start the season.

However, Tattnall has won their last two and Knights head coach Allen Lowe knows this game is going to be an even bigger challenge than the first meeting.

"They are just well coached and discipline and what they do they do well. We know what they are going to do and we know what they are going to try to do its just a matter of whether we can stop them and whether or not they can stop us. So its always a great battle between us and we expect nothing different this Friday", said head coach Allen Lowe.

Deerfield-Windsor hosts Tattnall Square at 7:30 Friday night at Webb Memorial Stadium.
