PHOENIX (CBS5) -
Police are trying to figure out what caused the death of a 1-year-old child Thursday in Phoenix.
Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Steve Martos said the boy was near 28th Street and Cactus Road when he was taken to an area hospital. He died shortly after arriving.
Investigators said the child had been sick for several days.
He is one of four children. The other children have since been placed with an aunt by CPS.
Martos said the Medical Examiner's Office is now working to determine the cause of death.
No other details were immediately available.
