The Sun Belt Conference has suspended two Troy players for the first half of the Middle Tennessee game. The league announced the suspensions of defensive backs Devon Terry and Brynden Trawick on Wednesday.
Terry was penalized for unnecessary roughness for making a high hit to the head and neck area of an Arkansas State player.
The league says Trawick's suspension comes for a "hit on a defenseless receiver" in which he made contact at the head and neck.
Neither player was ejected from the game. NCAA rules call for conferences to review plays when a foul is called for targeting an opponent when the player isn't ejected.
The Trojans must win the game to become bowl eligible.
