CHILTON CO., AL (WSFA) -
Alabama State Troopers say Interstate 65 northbound has reopened through Chilton County following a closure Wednesday afternoon to deal with a vehicle fire.
There were no injuries reported.
The vehicle fire occured around mile marker 216 (that's just south of the Jemison/Thorsby exit) and lanes were closed while fire personnel and other responders were on scene.
Callers into the WSFA 12 Newsroom said traffic was backed up for miles, and that people were just sitting on the hoods of their cars waiting on any movement in the flow of traffic.
