ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WAFB) -
State Police say a Slidell man has been killed in a single vehicle crash early Saturday morning. The crash happened around 5:00 am on LA 433 just west of U.S. 11.
An investigation revealed that Jeffery Cuccia, 24, was driving west on LA 433 when his vehicle left the roadway to the right. The car continued off the road and hit a tree causing it to overturn. Cuccia was wearing a seatbelt at the time, but his injuries were too severe. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Troopers do suspect drug impairment to have been a factor in the crash. Toxicology reports are pending.
