Judd Davis joined the WSFA 12 News team in June of 2004. He co-anchors Today in Alabama with Tonya Terry. Judd moved here with his wife and two kids from Boise, Idaho where he anchored a morning show for five years. Judd started his career as an anchor/reporter in Medford, Oregon.
He attended Cal Poly University in California where he played football and graduated in broadcast journalism. After coaching one year of junior college football at Allen Hancock Junior College in Santa Maria, California he turned in the whistle and picked up the mic.
Judd was born in Huntsville and his grandpa made him a Crimson Tide fan from day one, even though his parents both went to LSU.
Judd and his wife have two kids, Bailey and Hunter. When Judd leaves the station he turns into coach Davis helping coach his son's baseball team and his daughter's softball team.
Career highlites include: Flying an F-16 fighter jet and not throwing up, catching a touchdown pass from Brodie Croyle at Bryant Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa and traveling to England with the Air Force.
