Canadian Healthy Vending, in partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, launches a healthy vending initiative at hundreds of vending machine locations across Canada to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer.
Vancouver, BC (PRWEB) November 27, 2012
Canadian Healthy Vending, a division of Westshore Marketing Group Ltd, a Vancouver-based vending equipment manufacturer, is proud to announce the “Feel Good Snacks Everyday” program, a unique partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation at vending locations in every province.
Each co-branded Max! Healthy Vending Machine features the Canadian Breast Cancer logo to support the vision of a creating a future without breast cancer. The Max! Healthy Vending Machine’s onboard high-resolution monitor displays important nutritional information and raises awareness about breast cancer fundraising events and healthy lifestyle choices. In addition, Canadian Healthy Vending has made a minimum commitment of $48,000 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation over the next year of this program.
Holly Henderson, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation’s Senior Director of Corporate Programs, shares why the Foundation got behind this initiative. “The Foundation is particularly excited about this program as it allows us to extend our message about the importance of healthy lifestyles and reducing breast cancer risk. It’s never too early or too late to take steps to help reduce risk by making healthy choices and learning more about breast health. We commend MAX! for working with the Foundation to help educate Canadians about breast health and we encourage everyone to learn more by visiting http://www.cbcf.org.”
Shaun Casey, cofounder of Canadian Healthy Vending, explains the benefits of the program. “The office vending machine seems to be the last place on earth where you can’t purchase healthy food or alternatives to sugary sodas and fat-laden snacks. The Max! Canadian Healthy Vending program was introduced as a direct response to the increasing demand from employers and human resource managers across the country seeking out healthy food for their employees to consume during the day.”
The goal of the program is to get Canadians to feel good about the choices they are making when they have a snack and at the same time to know that their choice to eat healthy will make a difference in their community through this partnership with the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
Wellness programs are becoming commonplace in Canada. Companies and organizations are installing exercise and yoga facilities and offering healthy food options to their employees as they realize that healthy workers are more productive, take fewer sick days and are happier in the workplace.
