Premier Education Group has announced its acquisition of American Institute College of Health Professions with campuses in Kissimmee, Florida and Denver, Colorado. Acquisition goes against the current tide of campus closures in private career education.
(PRWEB) November 27, 2012
Premier Education Group (PEG) has announced its acquisition of American Institute College of Health Professions with campuses in Kissimmee, Florida and Denver, Colorado. Over the past two years, the US Department of Education released controversial new regulations, which, combined with economic pressure on private education companies have been the catalyst for many campus closures at other school groups across the County. PEG is pleased that they have not only been able to sustain their current campuses but also their student population. This acquisition further expands their reach geographically and enables the company to offer new programs and innovative learning initiatives to its current students and graduates.
The American Institute College of Health Professions campuses offer education to students interested in careers in the health care industry such as Medical Assisting, Ultrasound, and Medical Coding and Billing. Its degree and certificate programs use a blended-delivery model of online theory, on campus labs, and clinical externships in real-world medical settings.
“Now more than ever adult students are looking for career focused education and training that can result in employment,” stated Gary Camp, CEO, PEG. “Today we at PEG are happy to bring two new locations into our fold and to expand our educational offerings to our current students and graduates with new programs and online learning capability. It is an exciting time for our company, and offers our thousands of successful graduates new educational opportunities.”
“We take pride in enabling our graduates to be effective, accomplished and successful thinkers and doers,” said Bill Anjos, President, PEG. “By acquiring these key American Institute campuses, we will expand our programs to offer many more students the real-world skills they need to be prepared for employment and open new programs to help our existing graduates advance professionally.”
Randy Proto, previously CEO of American Institutes Holdings, LLC, will become Chief Strategy Officer of Premier. Randy has over 30 years of experience in career education, and joins an accomplished team of executives at PEG.
“It is an honor to join Premier Education Group as we work together to provide valuable career-focused classes with flexible schedules designed to educate all students,” said Randy Proto. “I am pleased that our programs will enable more people to meet the challenges of our current and future economy.”
Premier Education Group, based in Connecticut, is one of the nation’s leading privately owned career-training organizations. They are committed to providing students with the necessary skills and attitudes to secure employment in their field of training.
