"Justice was served."

A jury verdict in United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee awarded Attorney Jock Smith's client, Stewart B. Fresh, the judgment against Entertainment USA of Tennessee, Inc. d/b/a Platinum Plus.

Smith, along with Cochran's Memphis attorneys David McLaughlin and Parke Morris, represented Fresh in the action.

According to Smith, the incident leading to the lawsuit grew out of an incident which occurred on January 20, 2002 at a strip club known as "Platinum Plus." Fresh, a patron at the club was abruptly and violently removed from the club and beaten in the club parking lot by club bouncers and security personnel. He was sprayed with pepper spray and suffered a broken nose as a result of the attack. The broken nose ultimately required surgery.

"It was a good case," Smith said in a telephone interview. "Justice was served."
