(FOX19) -
A Butler County woman was sentenced to six months in jail on Tuesday for the dragging death of a Middletown woman.
Maria Misquez, 31, was sentenced after she and the driver, Dustin Watkins, 23, hit a woman with a car in June. The car then dragged her, after her arm got caught in the seatbelt.
The victim, Kristina Purdin, later died at the hospital.
Purdin's husband told police she was arguing with a man who took money for a painting job, but never did the work.
Misquez was convicted on two charges of obstruction of justice.
Watkins was convicted of fleeing the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence. He was previously sentenced to 36 months in prison and had his license suspended for three years.
Kristina Purdin was 27-years-old and a mother of three.
