YUMA, AZ (CBS5) -

One person is dead in a single-engine plane crash in Yuma County discovered by border patrol agents.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office said the downed airplane was found on the Barry M. Goldwater Bombing Range, west of the Mohawk Mountains, about 10 to 15 miles south of Interstate 8.

YCSO said it's not a military aircraft.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash.

The victim's name is not being released at this time.
