WACO, TX (WIS) - South Carolina defensive lineman Jadeveon Clowney and Baylor wide receiver Terrance Williams and headline the 2012 AFCA FBS
Coaches' All-America Team announced today by the American Football Coaches
Association.
The AFCA has selected an All-America team since 1945 and
currently selects teams in all five of its divisions. What makes these teams so
special is that they are the only ones chosen exclusively by the men who know
the players the best — the coaches themselves.
Clowney leads the nation in tackles for
loss with 21.5 this season, and is tied for first with 13 sacks. He is a
finalist for the Bednarik Award, Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Rotary Lombardi
Award.
Williams leads the nation in total receiving yards with
1,693, and averages 153.91 yards per game, which is also tops in the nation. He
has 89 receptions and 12 touchdowns, and is a finalist for the Biletnikoff
Award, as the nation's best receiver.
