Authorities in Scottsdale are asking for help in locating a 12-year-old boy who has been missing since Friday afternoon.

Scottsdale police spokesman Dave Pubins said Carlos Vasquez was last seen on a Scottsdale trolley, along with a classmate, heading south on Miller Road from the area of Granite Reef and Jackrabbit roads.

Pubins said he had just left Mohave Middle School and might have been headed to the Civic Center Library after school. It is unknown where he left the trolley.

Vasquez is 5' tall, 140 pounds and was last wearing a black hoodie, black jeans with a lime green backpack, said Pubins.

Please contact the Scottsdale Police Department with any information on the whereabouts of Vasquez.
