LAWRENCE, KS (KCTV) -
The Douglas County Sheriff's Department is investigating a head-on crash that left one person injured.
The accident happened just after 5:30 a.m. Tuesday just west of the intersection of Clinton Parkway and Kansas 10.
Deputies says 21-year old Jakob Devore, of Ottawa, KS, was heading west on K-10 when his car drifted into the eastbound lanes. One car was able to avoid his car and spun out.
However, a vehicle behind it, a Chevrolet pickup, driven by Lauro Salas Garcia, 51, of Topeka, struck Devore's car head on.
The pickup overturned and Garcia was trapped in it for a short time.
Garcia was flown by helicopter to a Topeka hospital. His exact condition is not known, but it's believed he did not suffer life-threatening injuries.
