NEW ORLEANS (WAFB) -
The employee accused of placing a parking boot on an ambulance in New Orleans last week has been arrested by Federal Immigration agents.
They say Ahmed Sidi Aleywa was arrested for violating federal immigration law. He reportedly had a tourist visa from Africa that expired in September.
Aleywa was cited by New Orleans Police for simple criminal damage to property after he put a restrictive parking boot on an ambulance that was responding to an emergency service call Friday.
No word yet on what possible penalties he could face for this latest arrest.
