News Leader 9 is on the scene of a fatal tractor trailer accident on Interstate 85 South. The accident happened just before 2:00 p.m. CT near the Moores Mill Road overpass in Auburn.

Officials say a tractor trailer traveling at a high rate of speed struck another truck that had applied brakes. The impact caused the truck to flip over a guard rail.

Three passengers were in the flipped tractor trailer. One of the passengers died. Two other passengers were transported to East Alabama Medical Center for injuries.
