HUNTSVILLE, AL (WAFF) -

Huntsville Police arrested a man they said drove his car into a canal in Big Spring Park.

John Vaughn was charged with DUI after he allegedly drove his Honda Civic into the Indian Creek Canal.

Police said someone waved down an officer around 1:30 a.m. Thursday and said there was a car in the water in the Indian Creek Canal.

No one was injured and the canal received no major damage, but some of the steps did sustain minor damage.
