TROY, AL (WSFA) -
A 22-year-old man is in the custody of Troy police following an investigation into a terrorist threat aimed at Charles Henderson High School Wednesday.
Kenya Demon Flowers, a Dothan resident, is being charged with making a terrorist threat that was reported around 8:30am, according to Police Chief Jimmy Ennis.
Ennis says the investigation shows that Flowers was talking on the phone with a 17-year-old Troy woman when they got into an argument. That's when he he is alleged to have made threats toward her and Charles Henderson High School, where she attends school.
TPD School Resource Officer reported that the victim came to school and reported the incident to him. H e relayed the information to the Detective Division. A subsequent investigation lead Troy Police detectives in obtaining a warrant for Flowers' arrest.
Flowers was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon at approximately 1:00pm in Dothan at his home with the assistance of Dothan police.
Flowers was picked up by TPD detectives and transported to Troy where he was formally charged and arrested
His bond has been set at $15,000. He has been transferred to the Pike County Jail.
