MERIDIANVILLE, AL (WAFF) -
Madison County Sheriff's Department responded to an attempted robbery at Cadence Bank on Highway 231 North in Meridianville Thursday afternoon around 4:45.
Authorities said a man walked up to the drive-thru window and tried to rob the bank. He banged on the window, and the bank went into lockdown.
It is unknown if he was armed. He did not show a weapon.
The teller did not give the man any money, and he fled on foot.
A man attempted to rob the Cadence Bank in Meridianville Thursday afternoon.
