TUCSON, AZ (AP) -

Authorities in Tucson are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that left a man and a woman dead.

Pima County sheriff's spokesman deputy Tom Peine says deputies were called to a home late Thursday and found a man dead in a home's driveway of an apparent gunshot wound. He identified the man as 23-year-old Joseph Leroy Francis.

KOLD-TV reports the suicide came about an hour after Tucson police began investigating the shooting death of a woman. They say the suspect in her shooting was apparently Francis.

Peine says sheriff's detectives are working with Tucson police on the investigation.
