Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian on the Loop 101.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said the crash between a car and a man walking on the highway happened about 7 p.m. Wednesday on southbound State Route 101 at Union Hills.
DPS spokesman Bart Graves said it appears the pedestrian may have been trying to take his own life. The medical examiner's office is doing an autopsy to identify him.
