Investigators with the Montgomery Police Department are trying to determine what led to a fatal shooting that took place outside of the McDonald's restaurant on the Eastern Boulevard Thursday night.
MPD officers responded to the area at around 10 p.m. after receiving calls about gunshots in the area. When units arrived, they found two teenaged males, both of which sustained gunshot wounds.
Both victims, unidentified, were transported to Baptist Medical Center South where the 18-year-old male was later pronounced dead. The 17-year-old male is currently listed in stable condition.
MPD's initial investigation indicates that the shooting stemmed from an argument between the two men. No further information is being released as MPD continues to investigate.
Police ask individuals with knowledge of the shooting to call CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP, Secret Witness at 262-4000, or the Montgomery Police Department at 625-2831.
This is not the first shooting incident at this McDonald's location. Authorities have now worked three shootings at the business within the last year and a half.
A victim in a January 2012 shooting decided not to press charges.
In September 2011, police were called to the business after someone fired shots into the Playplace area of the restaurant where children were using the equipment. There were no injuries in that incident.
