PINE GROVE, LA (AP) -
Police are investigating a single-vehicle crashed that killed two men in St. Helena Parish early Sunday.
The Louisiana State Police says a car driven by 30-year-old Maximiliano Millian was heading south on Highway 449 near Pine Grove around 1:20 a.m. when it veered off the road and hit a canal embankment.
Millian and an 18-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the teenager, whose name wasn't immediately released, wasn't wearing a seat belt.
The cause of the crash remained under investigation.
Both men are Guatemalan citizens.
