EAST FELICIANA PARISH, LA (WAFB) -
A Baton Rouge man was killed Monday evening in a crash in East Feliciana Parish.
State Police say Herman Ricard, 44, was driving on LA 957 when he ran off the roadway to the right, then overcorrected and went back across the road to the left, hit a utility pole then hit a tree.
The crash happened just after 5:30 p.m.
Investigators say that Ricard was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
Troopers believe excessive speed was a factor in the crash.
A toxicology sample has been sent to the State Police Crime Lab for analysis.
