PHENIX CITY, AL (WTVM) -
We have new details about
the New Year's Eve tragedy that happened in east Alabama.
It is believed that 29
year old Legary Antley Jr., of Smiths Station was working on a dump truck in
the raised position yesterday around 4:20 p.m. At some point, the hydraulics
failed and the dump body fell, crushing and killing Antley.
The accident happened off Summerville
Road on Lee Road 315.
Neighbors who live near
the scene of the accident were shaken by the deadly incident.
Antley suffered massive
crushing chest injuries and was killed instantly. Alcohol is not believed to be
a factor in the accident.
